Think of what you are trying to accomplish, a large shade tree, a small fruit bush, do you have a larger 360 degree area (I know I state 365 in the video, sorry,), are you up against a wall so you have 180 degrees. Do you want espalier. All of these options are made easier and better with the Train-A-tree system.

Train-A-Tree Avocados
Growing Avocados part 1
Growing avocados is so easy when you use the Train-A-Tree system. You can keep your trees smaller while producing more fruit. Fruit grows on horizontal branching. Trees want to grow more vertically. With the Train-A-tree program you can level out your trees, keep them smaller, make them stronger, easier to prune, maintain and produce more quality fruit. This process is almost impossible without Train-A-Tree. Avocado trees will grow to 60 ft if you allow them too. If you want a shade tree, great grow it huge. If you want a production tree, keep them small with more fruiting branches. It's all about the fruiting branches, not just the size of the tree. You can put four varieties in the same space as one large tree. Here are a few huge benefits: smaller trees require a lot less water, they are easier to care for, easier to harvest, produce more productive fruiting branches, producing more fruit. Isn't that what we all want? Orchards are converting to high density plantings, they are no longer growing massive un-managable almost un-harvestable trees.
